THE DEVELOPMENT OF MAKASSAR TV LOCAL

Metropolis lives always need us to be fast in everything, including broadcast. A lot of private television community gives effect in society whether it’s positive and negative. Since reformation era there already pressure from local society that demand a freedom in broadcasting. Now in Makassar already has 3 local TV. They are Fajar TV, Makassar TV and SUN TV. As television local it should be give the best result broadcast from our own country. No wonder they have 100 % local news broadcast. The purpose of the local TV are to increase the awareness of local people to their own culture which start to forget, especially for the young generation.
Makassar TV was the first local TV station in Makassar, South Sulawesi IN 2003 The central office of Makassar TV at Clarion Hotel with the company name PT. Makassar Lintas Visual Cemerlang.It has motto “ Makassar Tv - tivi ta' semua”.
Fajar TV is one of local TV station in Makassar. Television station that use the language of Makassar in this programming operate on 49 UHF frequencies. Television station who director has the motto “In fact the truth Makassar”. Currently it held by M. Sahlan Kartono. So do with Makassar TV, the appearance of Makassar TV with the local content in news and others shows clearly a breakthrough between domination of private TV. The Makassar society has a choice to enjoy the shows which shows the condition of their district.
SUN TV also makes the broadcasting livelier at local TV in South Sulawesi. The people can search SUN TV in frequency 31 UHF. In Makassar, the SUN TV office is located on Urip Sumoharjo street. The name of SUN TV Makassar director is Husain Abdullah. He said that people in Makassar, Pare-pare, Gowa, Pangkep, Barru, until east Luwu can enjoy SUN TV broadcast. Many program in SUN TV such as entertainment, education and new nuance for society, but focus of SUN TV it’s about politic, law, culture, and religion problem. There are many reporters join in SUN TV and they got special training to adapt with segment and ability of SUN TV.

Makassar has potential in the promising field of sport and no less terrible to the other regions, one in soccer. Makassar, with squad named PSM and nicknamed the team Juku Eja. This squad has a team with four levels of the U-15, U-18, U-21, and the senior team. In addition, fans who always support a football team in makassar called The Machs man. Now this middle PSM was raised by a coach named Tumpak Sihite with assistant Tony Ho.PSM is now following the Indonesian Super League that runs in the second round. And recently had to revamp the players by including five foreign players, namely Alejandro Pena, Osvaldo Moreno, and also players from South Korea, namely Shin Hyun Joon, Park Jung-Hwan and Joo Ki Hwan. These foreign squad reshuffle brought fundamental changes in the team game epithet Juku Eja team. This was proved by PSM 2-1 victory over North Jakarta Persitara in advanced Indonesian Super League (LSI) 2009/2010 on the Stadium Soemantri Brodjonegoro and goals were created by new striker PSM Park Jung-Hwan on the 12th and 89th minutes. And this is also a stumbling block to Persela Lamongan who wants to rise in their Stadium victory.

PSM in the near future will follow Indonesia in 2010 is precisely the cup starts on April 26, 2010. Selayar Island



Selayar Island is an archipelago, part of , South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. It lies in the Flores Sea, and it located between Sulawesi and Flores, now it is handling by Drs. H. Syahrir Wahab, M.M as the regent of Selayar Regency. It is covering 903,35 km² with a population of about 100,000. There are 73 islands, the principal being Selayar Island. Selayar’s thick primary jungles hide two massive 7 tiered waterfalls that tumble to the coast from one 500 meter mountain peak.
Selayar in 12th century was controlled by Luwuk Kingdom, one of the first kingdoms in South Sulawesi. Selayar ever became trade troute, it also had good relation with some kingdoms like Buton, Bone and Gowa. Some years ago, its name was Kabupaten Selayar, but now it becomes Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar.
Selayar, a secluded island, far away from mass tourism, lies in the Celebes Sea to the south of the Indonesian Island Sulawesi. Myths have been kept alive on this small island which once lay on the Chinese trade route. The west side of the island is mainly inhabited by fishermen, who live in small villages that continue to follow their traditions largely unaffected by western influences. Besides traditional fishing, the growing of vanilla and tangerines generate the main sources of income on the island.
Selayar has some interesting object such as underwater wonderland which include Takabonerate national Sea Park, the Dong Son gong –the oldest and biggest in the world-,field of dreams, the sea gypsies (Orang Bajau) who have special skill in fishing, beautiful sunsets and many other serendipity from people of Selayar. The government built many facilities for support the Tourism object in Selayar. There are some resort that owns longest house reef in Indonesia, the bungalows which built in traditional Indonesian style, restaurant and the transportation facilities like airport and harbor.
From the above explanations, Taka Bonerate is one of the special object in Selayar island. South Sulawesi Government ever held Expedition in Takabonerate 2009 to introduced it as Tourism object. Takabonerate consist of many ecosystem in the 2,220 square kilometer area. It is located approximately 79-206 mil Flores sea south of Benteng, the capital city Selayar, Accessible from the harbor ferry boat Pattumbukang using approximately 3 hours or with a speed boat for 1,5 hours. This area is designated as a Marine National Park, because it has an area of 220,000 hectares of coral atoll which is the third largest Coral Atoll in the world. . The atolls rise abruptly from a deep oceanic trench and offer some fantastic wall diving in good visibility. The additional advantage here is that the area is still untouched by dive tourism and can be considered as one of the worlds few remaining dive frontiers.

Saving in a Bank


Saving habit is very useful for our future. Saving is save some money to be used in the future if necessary. More money saved is better. Do not forget that there are limits to save money. Pay your tax liability and your alms before saving as well as practice some of our money to worship in order to be happier in the next life.
Allowing to saving since we were a child will be form the parsimony, thinking far ahead, not selfish, patient, and many more. Therefore if we have children, teach them to become a great saver. How to Make Onde-Onde


Onde-onde is one of the colourful and delicious cake. They are in pandan flavoured green glutinous rice balls with sprinkled with grated coconut . That is seasoned with fine salt on the outside and palm sugar inside as a fill.

Onde-onde is very similar to the various Chinese tang yuan like glutinous rice ball with sesame peanuts fillings,hong kong style tang yuan and Taiwanese tang yuan. The only difference is those tang yuan are served in a sweet syrup soup while onde-onde is served dry with shredded coconut coating.It is more like a finger food.

Onde-onde is a popular street food in South East Asia. In Indonesia,this cake will be naming a lot,shape,and taste.This cake raw material is not very different from one region to another. Depending on the characteristic of each region ideal ingredient to add Indonesia-sense on the cake this round.

When we visited the area Atjeh Nanggroe Darussalam, this cake is called a rom-rom elbow (elbow means fruit,fruit that is so rom-rom).The cookies we often encounter when Ramadhan arrived,and it’s as a menu for iftar and many also show other events.And usually combined with fried bananas,dates,and other pastries.

Northern Sumatra region Melayu Deli in particular,the people there call it by name Melaka fruit.where this cake in food offering ceremony banquet.Buah Melaka or onde-onde is usually is paired with bowsprit ,lepat sweet,apam,cakes ,and cookies hard nuns who are placed in a tray. In the interpretation of the feast,this cake symbolizes ethnic Chinese from Melaka.

In Jawa Barat,this cake known as Klepon,,and it is not much with other regional custom,this cake to be one particular dish on the show,but sometimes it is modificated the taste and out of different shape on the cake.Nationally and this cake is better known as onde-onde,where the cake dumplings are included in a particular meal or event.This cake is usually modified with sesame seeds as the outer shell and fried.

Ingredients :

* 10 pandan leaves

* 5 tablespoons water

* Few drops of green coloring (optional)

* 400 gr glutinous rice flour

* 2 tablespoons tapioca flour

* ¼ teaspoon salt

* 1 cup of water (more if needed)

Filling:

* 100g gula merah (palm sugar)

Coating:

* 150g grated coconut

* 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

First, Clean and pound or blend pandan leaves with some water.

Second, place the blended pandan leaves in a strainer and squeeze out the pure green pandan juice. If colour is not sufficiently green, add a few drops of green coloring). Set aside.

Then, sift the dry ingredients into a mixing bowl.

Add pandan juice and just enough water to mix into a dough.

Take about 50g of the dough, flatten.

After that, bring a small pot of water to a boil. Drop the 50g disc into the boiling water.

When it floats, remove and combine with the rest of the dough. Knead well until dough turns smooth.This mixture of cooked and raw dough is meant to stabilize the dough. According to Heidi, this makes the dough more chewier.

Pinch out the dough to about the size of a small lime or marble and flatten it. Add a small teaspoon of filling in the centre. Cover up and roll the dough into a ball.

Repeat process until all the dough is used up.

Next, Bring water to a boil in a large pot. When water boils, gently drip in the small balls of Onde-Onde, one at a time. Stir the water to create a gentle currant so that the ball will not stick to the bottom of the pot.

Wait until the balls float to the surface, then scoop out with a perforated ladle.

And then, drop them into a pot of icy cold water. This process will also helps the glutinous rice ball to be more chewier.

Scoop out with a perforated ladle into a strainer and drain the excess water.

Finally, in a large plate, mix together grated coconut and salt. Roll the cooked Onde-Onde in grated coconut.

And ready to be served.

Go Abroad By Studying English


I had interviewed one student of English Language Centre (ELC) course. His name is Adi Fachri Alimuddin. He is a student of Makassar Tourism Academy and he is a sophomore student now. There is big planning that he had put to join the ELC Course, he will get one chance to get practice his study in Malaysia, but to realize that, he has to get more knowledge of English and of course he must past the some test of English like TOEFL ITP. He can get it by join ELC which has some relation with International University like Cambridge University.
At the first time, he wanted to join Briton English Course, but Briton could open new class just in March at the time, so he had to choose other English course and finally he choose ELC instead. He feel enjoy in his course very much. He got class in Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Sometimes he went to course after come back from his college, because his way home is past his course place in Jln Lamadukelleng no.60 Makassar.
Since he joined the course, he felt he can fulfill his need about English, more practice and he like it very much. He wanted to get his ambition to go abroad and he just can make it true by study English as the important thing for him to support him in his job later. He is a work harder person, sometimes he study English very often, more ever he usually borrowed some English books from her teacher because he wanted to know more about it. He always practices his English everywhere and every time and when he send message to me, he wrote it in English. Now he can speak English quite fluency. He will get some test for few months later but he believe that he can past it. "Do it as well as you can and you need to pray and the last just wait the best result" that is his motivation to increased his confidence to speak English and when he face to a test. Before I finished my interviewed he suggest to me to join ELC to improve my skill in English.
